Clint Johnson

Professional retriever trainers Clint and Shawnna Johnson own and operate Clint Johnston Retrievers, a professional retriever training center. He has worked with retrievers for 16 years, and is known nationally as one of the finest professional retriever trainers. Clint has won the Super Retriever television show several times. He is also the 2006 SportDog Team of the Year winner and the 2009 Avery Cup and has a long list of achievements producing champions in hybrid events.
Derek Randle

Derek Randle, owner of The Retriever Academy and formerly the co-owner of War Eagle Retrievers from 1999-2010, helped design and develop two extensive retriever training facilities in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Derek has ten years of countless AKC, HRC and NAHRA Titles, including GRHRCH, CMHR and MH Titles. He also holds the HRC record for most grand passes in a single grand (Fall 2009, 7 for 7).
Chris Akin

Chris Akin is an avid duck hunter and outdoorsman. He owns and operates one of the most accomplished, oldest and largest kennels in the country — Webb Footed Kennels in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Chris has over 250 Hunter Retriever Championship titles, 30 Grand Hunting Retriever Championship titles and 90 Master Hunters. He has also won the Gold at the ESPN Great Outdoor Games, and has earned many other achievements. In addition, Chris and Webb Footed Kennels have created a video entitled “Duck Dog Basics with Chris Akin.”
Tellus Calhoun

Tellus has been training dogs for over 30 years, including training hounds, protection dogs and pointers. He has focused on hunting retrievers for the past 17 years and ran his first Master National event in 1998, qualifying 100% of his dogs. Between 2000-2006, Tellus qualified more dogs at the Master National than anyone else. And he was the first handler in an SRS to qualify two dogs for the semis in a Classic event. In addition, Tellus is a licensed AKC and HRC judge and is active in judging events in both venues.
