At Webb Footed Kennels we run both AKC and HRC hunt tests.  Most of our dogs run both.  As we get all the dogs back in the early spring, we realized real quick that we were in for a special spring hunt test season.  Everything just lined up for us weekend after weekend.  In the end, we had 43 new titles, 4 Grand Hunting Retriever Champions, 8 Master Hunters, 10 Senior Hunters, 10 Hunter Retriever Champions, and 11 Hunting Retrievers.

The most exciting point is that this fall is looking to be even better.  We have the potential for over 30 new titles.  We are getting ready to head to the Fall Grand in Canada with a full line up of 8 dogs, 4 of which will be running for their Grand titles.  We look forward to adding these to the already impressive list of titles Webb Footed Kennel dogs have already achieved.  Webb Footed Kennel has trained 280 Hunting Retriever Champions, 85 Master Hunters, and 32 Grand Champion Hunting Retrievers.

Summer in the Mountains

We have taken our annual odyssey to cooler temperatures. This year we are training on a 650 acre ranch near Fairplay, Colorado. Our dogs are in their fourth week of training at 9,500 ft elevation. This is our eighth consecutive year to take our 1,000 mile journey to find cooler temperatures during the summer. The temperature rarely exceeds 75 degrees and the dogs love it! We will be back in Arkansas before the opening of dove season and hope to see you at an event soon. In the meantime, I thought I would add a few pictures to the blog for everyone to enjoy.
